A week before Christmas 1969, Dunfermline Athletic took on Anderlecht in Belgium. It was a cold and frosty evening, and goals were in short supply. Doug Baillie captained the Pars and held the defence together although under pressure for much of the tie.
The 16th August 2007 was a lovely summer’s evening, Dunfermline Athletic were playing BK Hacken of Gothenburg in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the UEFA Cup and things started very well indeed with Jim Hamilton scoring within a minute of kick-off.
